Fertilization Report

Just a quick update today: Of the 24 eggs retrieved, 18 were mature and of those 18, 16 fertilized.

So, today, Tidy and I have 16 embryos... OUR embryos... No longer Dotty 2.0's eggs.

Thank you dear Dotty 2.0. I hope you are recovering well and know that we are so grateful to you for taking time out of your daily life to help our cause.

1st DE IVF Cycle in 2011... SUCCESS!

5/23 - Donor (nicknamed Dotty) choosen for first (and hopefully only) DE IVF
6/7 - Got legal paperwork, Donor had psych consult
6/8 - BCPs
7/5 - Legal paperwork signed by Dotty!
7/6 - Lupron
7/15 - Baseline - Not Suppressed. Stay on Lupron, trigger growing follicle, waiting for AF for baseline #2 in a few weeks.
8/3 - AF Came, CD2, Second Basline (E2=34), Start Estrogen. Lining Check on 15th
8/15 - My Lining Check - 8.4mm and triple striped, a cushy landing zone for my potential embryos
8/18 - Dotty's Baseline. Good to go!
8/19 - Dotty starting stims
8/22 - Dotty's first u/s was a let down. Not much action. Increasing meds, 3 more days of stims, then re-evaulating her ability. May have to choose another donor
8/25 - Dotty's 2nd u/s didn't show much improvement. We cancelled Dotty and are looking for a new donor.
8/26 - Matched with a differnt donor, "Dotty 2.0". Awaiting her basline next weeek.
8/27 - Dotty 2.0 needs a few weeks for her ovaries to calm down from her last cycle. Stopping my meds, waiting for AF
9/1 - Restarted my meds. Awaiting lining check and for Dotty 2.0 to start stims
9/22 - Dotty 2.0 Baseline. All systems go. Starting Stims.
10/6 - Dotty 2.0's retrieval: 24 eggs
10/11 - Transfer day - 2 day 5 blasts.
10/12 - 6 day-6 grade A expanded blasts frozen.
10/21 - FIRST TRUE BFP EVER!!!!!!!! Beta #1 203.5 at 15dpo (10dp5dt)
10/24 - Beta #2 965.7 at 18dpo (13dp5dt). Amazing!!!
11/4 - First u/s at 6w1d: 2 beautiful heartbeats...TWINS!!!
