Path Chosen

I want to say something profound here, but I'm not sure what else to say right now, other than to capture our recent decisions and let you know how terribly excited I am by the email I received today.
  • We spent the weekend looking at donor profiles and came to a conclusion
  • We signed a piece of paper on Sunday night stating our intent to use donor X
  • I faxed it into the clinc first thing from work on Monday because I was scared someone else would take her
  • I got an email today from the donor coordinator at our clinic saying this: 
(Tippy),  I am getting ready to leave the office for the day, but I wanted to let you know that I talked with donor X and she said YES! She is available to cycle and doesn't have any significant dates that won't work for her...

And so with that, and a little down payment tomorrow, Tidy and I have graduated from IVF into the Donor Egg IVF world. We hit a major fork in the road this past week and are now heading down a new and very hopeful path.

    Excellent news! Congrats and good luck! Do you already have a timetable in mind?
    And if you ever feel like it, maybe you could write a few words about how the decision-making went, what influenced your decision?

    Great news! When you go through so much and cover so much ground in a short time to make a decision, sometimes the facts are all you can say for a while, I think. Congrats on reaching this point and best of luck!

    Yeah, hon! I am so excited for you! I tried to comment on your "dear baby" post, but I couldn't for some reason. I am so glad that you chose a donor and would love to hear about what you liked about her that helped you to chose her (if you feel comfortable sharing this).

    Oh my goodness - I could only get through pp2 of your dear baby post before choking up. Congratulations on your decision - it's so hard making decisions, argh - I always thought they were brutal on top of the brutality of IVF!

    I'm not sure if my previous post worked but if it did can you please just delete this one.

    First off I want to congratulate you on picking a donor that so exciting! I hope I can say the same thing soon as my clinic has said they have found me a match they just have to make sure she passes all the tests. Unfortanituly she's not proven but I guess we'll see. Is your donor proven?
